Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with foil, extending foil over edges. For crust, in a large bowl microwave 1 cup of the butter until melted. Stir in ½ cup of the brown sugar, 1 tsp. of the vanilla, and the salt. Stir in flour until combined. Press mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned on edges. Using a fork, prick crust on top but not all the way through. (Pricking the crust will help the filling to stick.)
